At times I hear people say that they wish all of their problems would just go away. They think that if the problems went away they would be able to really enjoy their lives. What if I told you that there is a beautiful tropical paradise free of all challenges, adversity and problems.
There are enough residents that you would not be lonely, yet not too many to make it overcrowded. When residents arrive almost all of their perceived problems disappear into thin air. They don’t worry about money, taxes or the government.
And where is this glorious tropical paradise, that I speak of? It is a cemetery off the coast of Hawaii. That’s the only place that people don’t have problems or challenges. Having challenges is a good thing because it just means you are alive. And you will always figure out a way to overcome your challenges, you just have to get creative and start listening to your inner voice.
No matter what you are struggling with there are many people in that cemetery that would take on your challenges in a heart beat just to experience even one more day in this life.
Our life is a gift, and when we are not caught up in our thinking of how hard things are we feel that way.
So what about those moments that we don’t feel life is a gift? Just take a few deep breaths, get a little bit of food in you, call a friend, watch a funny movie or something and just get back to your old self.
We are incredible, powerful, human beings and when we are happy and feeling good its amazing what we can do. We just have to get through the hard days some times, when we can get through those, we eventually get back to the good days.
Remember, You’re Okay! The good days eventually will return. Often they return quicker when we get engaged in life and learn what the challenge is trying to teach us.
Challenges are just a sign that you are alive! It does not matter who you are, you will have problems. The sooner that you accept this truth, the sooner you can focus on enjoying the challenges that you have and also can create better challenges.
If we really think about it. Aren’t there certain challenges in life that we love? Yes, there are certain problems or challenges that you actually really enjoy. You are probably thinking, you have to be crazy there are no challenges that I enjoy!
It’s interesting that we even pay some times to watch these challenges. Think of the last time that you went and saw your favorite professional sports team play. You actually paid money to watch this challenge. Why do we do it? Because we all love a challenge – it inspires us and wakes us up!
We love a good challenge, a lot of times we just don’t see things that way. We especially love a great David vs. Goliath battle.
So what is the difference between the challenges that we actually pay to watch on TV and our own challenges? Absolutely nothing!
Their challenges to them are just as real as ours are to us. If that coach loses he could easily lose his job. If players perform poorly they could lose money. These are very real challenges to them, but to us it’s just a game.
And we even enjoy not just watching but participating in a good challenge. Anytime that you step on a basketball court and play basketball, you are entering into a challenge. Interestingly enough if you are alone shooting baskets, it is generally not as fun as having another team to play against.
You see we enjoy the challenges that we can control and that we have mastered ! We enjoy the challenges that we are certain about. We don’t enjoy the ones that we feel are out of control.

The real good life is created every day, by just putting one foot in front of the other moving towards your goals, it doesn’t matter how fast you get there as long as you are moving in the right direction, and even if you trip and fall just get back up and try again tomorrow!
Remember You’re okay, Begin to see what’s possible in your life and you will create miracles.
